The Pinal County School Office Education Service Agency provides service and support for student success. We support educators through a collaboration of services, resources, and funding to improve teaching and learning.

1. Integrate and incorporate Arizona’s educational technology standards and content area standards.
2. Improve teaching and learning by encouraging and facilitating the effective use of technology.
3. Support and assist school districts and teachers to increase student performance by providing quality, well-designed professional development and technical support.

Services Provided:

escWorks
Using the escWorks system educators have the ability to sign up and track professional development events on-line. escWorks allows participants to maintain a history of the courses they have taken. There is a transcript feature that allows the user to track credits earned from other organizations. The user can print confirmations for their registered events and review registration history and modify upcoming events. escWorks allows educators to keep up-to-date with the latest professional development offerings.


IDEAL
IDEAL is a single access point to educational resources and information for all Arizona Educators. It provides access to professional development; standards based curriculum resources, collaborative tools and school improvement resources. So let’s create an account, login and tour all the available resources that Arizona’s eLearning Platform has to offer.


Intel Teach Essentials
Worldwide program created for teachers, by teachers, to help them effectively integrate technology into the classroom to enhance student learning. Teachers learn how, when and where to incorporate technology tools and resources into their lesson plans. Teachers learn how to use technology to create in-depth, personal learning experiences. It is designed to improve the effective use of technology in schools.


Discovery Education

Discovery Education provides engaging digital resources to schools and homes with the goal of making educators more effective, increasing student achievement, and connecting classrooms and families to a world of learning.


Technology Integration Projects

To provide training and support services for the integration of technology into the core subject areas. Such hands-on projects as pod casting, animation, movie making, blogs and wikis will be offered.


SMART Board Basics
Training includes using the interactive whiteboard, which connects to the computer and projector. Experiential training includes how to orient the board, use the finger as a mouse, and access the On-Screen Keyboard, use pens in the SMART Pen Tray, and capture and save notes into Notebook software. Participants control computer applications directly from the screen, write notes in digital ink and save work to present later.


eInstruction CPS
Engage every child in class by creating an interactive learning environment. Students who normally remain silent can now answer every question without fear of embarrassment. With instant feedback from the entire class, you will know whether to move on or continue teaching. Also, take attendance, grade tests and quizzes, create lessons, and generate personalized reports automatically.


Galileo
Galileo is a fully integrated instructional improvement system that combines the strength of research and the power of innovation to assist educators in promoting student mastery of local/state standards. Its technology supports customized assessment, data driven instruction, actionable reporting and reliable support services.

Microsoft Office 2007
Participants will get the opportunity to focus on Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, and review key enhancements that will help to create a more user-friendly computer adventure. This training will examine new features and tools used to organize, find, protect, and share information to enhance the online experience. Participants will be exposed to lesson plans that have been created by other teachers and develop an activity to use with the Microsoft Office 2007 modules in their own classrooms.
