Who should receive a flu shot?

  •  Everyone 6 months or older
  •  People at high risk for serious flu complications
  •  This includes young children, pregnant women
  •  Those with chronic medical conditions

Why are flu shots important?

Each year in the United States, on average:

  •  More than 200,000 people are hospitalized with flu-related complications.
  •  20,000 of those hospitalized are children younger than 5 years old.
  •  36,000 people die from the flu


  •  Insurance ID is required: Bring your Meritain Health/ASBAIT/BCBS/Medicare ID Card.
  •  No cost to employees/dependents covered under the ASBAIT medical plan for flu shots and eligible immunizations.
  •  Most BCBS plans accepted, Medicare, Flu and Pneumonia only
  •  Claim filed for member. Claim filing does not guarantee coverage
